Prenatal Yoga Modifications Workshop

In this workshop we will learn prenatal modifications and explore how to use the wall, pillows, blankets, chairs and yoga props to support certain yoga postures and work within the limits of pregnancy-related discomforts.

We will practice restorative, standing, and seated poses that safely help the pregnant body release tension, build strength, and prepare for childbirth learning all the different ways we can modify each pose for ourselves or our students current needs.

We will discuss pelvic floor balancing and learn the importance of a balanced pelvic floor for childbirth and postpartum recovery. We will practice exercises to build a supportive and supple pelvic floor.

We will use the breath to experience how deep diaphragmatic breathing can help focus the mind, relax the body, and manage discomfort in pregnancy.
